Introduction to CBISA for Long Term Care™

CBISA for Long Term Care™ is a comprehensive web-based software program designed to meet all of your community benefit needs - tracking, reporting and evaluating. It also helps in community benefit planning. Its various, easy-to-use modules allow you to collect, store and report a wide range of quantifiable information - from program statistics through expenses, revenues and support - as well as unlimited narratives, stories and anecdotes concerning your community involvement. Then, CBISA LTC™ takes your community benefit reporting to the next level. With the Outcomes module, the software gives you the ability not only to track statistics and enter stories, but to record the effectiveness of your programs. You can log your baseline goals and strategies, specific indicators, measurable and anecdotal results.

In its comprehensive reporting section, you will find a variety of reports and reporting options. CBISA LTC™ gives you the ability to extract data for reports for single or for multiple reporting units within your system. Finally, your reports can be exported directly from the software to different applications, such as Excel spreadsheets or Word documents.

CBISA LTC™ allows you to keep all of your community benefit data in one place. The need for multiple database programs, spreadsheets and file cabinets to hold voluminous amounts of paper disappears with the use of CBISA LTC™. This technologically advanced software also promotes consistency throughout your entire reporting process by giving you the ability to define an unlimited amount of data fields within the reporting unit defaults. Some of the specific unit defaults that can be entered and/or customized are target audience ages and special needs populations, activity settings and formats, and subject/keyword/persons and topics for the Leadership Journal.

CBISA LTC™ also utilizes role based access to the program. You have the ability to define ten different user permission levels: System Administrator, Senior System Manager, Multi-Unit Coordinator, Multi-Unit Finance, Multi-Unit Senior Manager, Mulit-Unit Reporter, Coordinator, Finance, Reporter, and Senior Manager. By allowing for different users with specific access rights to the program, you have the capability of “spreading the work load” in a safe and controlled fashion. Each user only has access to parts of the program that he/she needs.

CBISA LTC™ is not only user friendly, but also “computer friendly”. The software program is a web-hosted ASP.NET application. Users only need a JavaScript enabled browser and the ability to log on to the internet. The workstation will need a minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768 and the ability to view edit dialog boxes. All of the data is transmitted over secured lines from your facility to our server, backed up and retained in a secure encrypted environment. Also, all of the upgrades to the program are performed by Lyon Software minimizing the need for local IT involvement.
